thank you and yes for physics and english literature.
which topics is it that you need for physics and english literature- i can dm them
for further maths and normal maths, the best thing to do was practise questions. for further maths i used corbett maths the most before i moved onto past paper questions. if you need more topic questions the cgp work book was very helpful

thank you!! for spanish listening my best advice would be to make sure whatever questions you were given beforehand, you learnt them off by heart (it doesn't have to be exact but doing this will make sure you dont forget higher level structures for example idioms or hypothetical phrases such as "si tuviera" (if i had). this will help you also with writing- lots of the phrases i learnt for my speaking i reused in my writing. i know they can be difficult to learn but i found that the easiest way to learn them was saying them out aloud to yourself or anyone that will listen. recording yourself and listening back to the recording will help you identify errors in pronunciation to deal with the surprise questions, the best thing you can do is learn your vocab. lots of people say they use quizlet (or something similar) but i found this quite tedious. instead of this i would do lots of reading and listening past papers and learn all the vocab that came up on the papers, that i wasn't sure of. i noticed that lots of vocab was repeated throughout the past papers, some of which weren't really mentioned in my lessons.

let me know if you have any questions and good luck!!

hey!! Congrats with the grades! Do you have any advice for english literature and maybe analysis for macbeth, jekyll and hyde and/or inspector calls if you did it? i am on a grade 6 right now but struggle to write essays especially for jekyll and hyde. Do you have any essay plans that would be useful for me, because am aiming for a 7. Also how do you think its best to revise for the sciences , i got a 6 in my mocks and i am aiming for a 7 or 8?

Thank you!! Unfortunately I didn't do Jekyll and Hyde or Inspector calls but I did do Macbeth
For english literature, my favourite thing to do was select out quotes that you think are important/useful ( i have a list of quotes i used, sorted out by theme lmk if you would like to have it) and explode the quote. This involves writing out the quote and annotating as much as you can about it, focus on the language techniques, what each technique portrays, alternative interpretations (this is a particularly high level skill), structural features ( for example is the line written in iambic pentameter or is it a rhyming couplet) and suitable context. this way whatever quotes you choose to use in your essay, you have an idea of what you can say. for analysis ( or anything for that matter), mr everything english had very good macbeth videos, but if would like an idea of higher level analysis, i would use mr salles' videos in particular the ones focussing on individual scenes because they go into much greater depth ( though sadly he stopped around act 4 i believe). whenever, you can using your original analysis is a good idea too, i have a macbeth quotation bank with a couple ideas+ points for analysis if you would like to see it . it doesn't matter how far-fetched your analysis may seem, as long as you can back it up thats okay!
in terms of improving essay writing, of course you could write out essays in timed conditions (and if you do this make sure to get a teacher to mark it because otherwise i find that there is very little point in doing them apart from practising timing) but i think the best way of improving essays is by looking at example essays written by other people because it gives you a good idea of what you need to change or add to you own work. you can google them, or your school teachers may provide some but mr salles also goes through example essays
let me know if you want to explain any of this further!

in terms of essay plans i did all mine on paper which i now have no idea where they are now, im really sorry about that ☹️but i made some basic one frantically the night before my exam when people were speculating likely topics, its not much so ill post it here, they definitely need adding too with analysis and context as well as intro and conclusions
Guilt
Although it is Macbeth’s ambition that causes his fall from grace and is his hamartia, it is his guilt that breaks him. Shakespeare may have portrays guilt in this way to condemn regicide
1)Guilt is more difficult to overcome as time passes
“All the perfumes of Arabia could not sweeten this little hand”
“Will these hands ne’er be clean?”
Motif blood repeated over 40 times in the play shows that guilt is recurring and will always return
2)Macbeth's excessive guilt is triggered by his fear of God denying him forgiveness
“I had most need of blessing” “Amen stuck in my throat”
3)Guilt will leave you desperate to be rid of it and with a lack of peace
“Tis safer to be that which we destroy than by destruction dwell in doubtful joy” “What’s done is done” —-- “cannot be undone”
4)Guilt causes a corruption of the mind, which causes Macbeth to hallucinate
“A false creation proceeding from the heat oppressed brain”
“Macbeth does murder sleep”
Kingship
1) Subjects have should be loyal to the king, as the monarch has more power over them
“Let your highness command upon me”
2)The role of king is appointed by God and normal people should not interfere with this
“His title hang loose about him like a giant’s robe upon a dwarfish thief”
3) The country will suffer under tyrannical kingship, a king thta does not care about the country but only his power
“Bleed bleed poor country” “Each new day a gash is added to her wounds”
4)To be a successful king you must have the support of the people
“Hell-hound”, “abhorred tyrant” “Dead butcher and fiend like queen”
Malcolm “innocent lamb” macbeth= “angry god”
Lady Macbeth

1.

Acts as a catalyst and trigger for Macbeth’s actions

“I have no spur to prick the sides of my intent but only vaulting ambition”

1.

Internally Lady Macbeth is stereotypically masculine; she defies society's expectations of women

“Take my milk for gal”
“I shame to wear a heart so white”
3)deceptive and able to manipulate her husband, as well as the supernatural
“Look like the innocent flower but be the serpent under it”
4)her overwhelming sense of guilt ends kills her
Out damn spot! out I say!”
“What will these hands ne’er be clean”
Supernatural
1)Supernatural is a catalyst for Macbeth’s ambition
“Star hide your fires let not light see my black and deep desires”
2)The supernatural can be manipulated and used to your advantage
“Come you spirits that tend on mortal thought”
3)However this power that the supernatural has is portrayed to decline through the latter half of the play
“Something wicked this way comes”
4)Through the denouement of the play Shakespeare advises the audience to not interfere with the supernatural

For science: To learn all the content, I'd just blurt everything I remember from the topic and everything I had forgotten in a different colour and use this as my notes for the topic. By doing this I was ensuring my revision was effective (active recall) and I was saving time from writing out proper notes. For further clarification of topics, for physics I loved using cognito videos and for bio and chem I would use a mix of cognito and mr freescience lessons. Physics and maths tutor have pre-made flashcards
To increase your grades the best thing to do is to expose yourself to as many questions as possible, it doesn't just have past paper questions, you could start off with textbook questions or the cgp workbooks. when marking your work always refer the mark scheme, they contain exactly what the examiners are looking for and the things that get you marks. closer the gcse exams maybe around the easter holidays i would focus mainly on past papers as most questions styles and topics (especially for chemistry) are repeated frequently. after a certain point for chemistry, having done so many past papers no question really felt like a new one, because i had just become so familiarised to them.
good luck with your gcses and do let me know if you need the quotation bank or list of macbeth quotes!!
