Severe ATAS delay 2025

Hi

Anyone here applied or ATAS on early october and has not received it yet? Anyone with starting reference 406****? My course starts early March and it has already been 80 days.
Does longer waiting time means the application would potentially be refused?

Not to stress you out but I’ve been waiting since July…. Have no idea what it means. One of my friends waited 5 months and was approved. Try to take your mind off of it. It has driven me insane and now I’ve chosen to let go

Hi

oh my god ! What's your area? Do you have a lot of out of country experiences that need to checked by them and hence it is taking time ?

Biomedical Engineering PhD, no I have done my undergrad and postgrad in the UK 🙂 these things have no rhyme or reason. My friend was from Singapore, a country that is quite friendly with the UK. Stop trying to look for clues, you won’t find them.

Hi

So you are waiting since July !! Like July end ?? That's more than 5 months ? Did you apply to anything else in UK? I think some guys in last year had to make a second application to get a response, but that's probably not a good idea anymore.

End of July, yes. I will have to defer or just probably leave if I don’t get a response by end of Jan. if I get refused I am screwed, will have to try to find a job in the UK but my CV is only really good for research soooooo lol fun to be me

Hi

My CV is research intense too! I have an option to apply to another UK clg. I am thinking of doing that. Btw you have leave to where?

Oh do you mean you have a different offer? Or you can apply somewhere without an ATAS? I meant leave the programme that I am supposed to be on

I can get a graduate visa as I did my Master’s in the UK. Wait so you have to apply for the ATAS again??

It's a different program. So yes. You can apply to multiple offers.

Ohh I see. So you’ve accepted both offers? What is this for, a masters or PhD?

PhD

Wow ok… I turned down an offer because I thought I couldn’t accept two. Good luck to you my friend!! I have kind of already accepted that I will be refused because the anticipation is killing me. If I get approved I’m going to try to start some kind of campaign with the university to try to get this stuff changed. Let’s keep in touch and hopefully both of us get approved. My name is Natalia btw 🙂
