Council tax threatened
Hello, I live in a student property with 4 people and we are all full time students. We keep getting letters from council tax saying two of us has to pay. I phoned them and said I have to fill out this form to apply for student exemption which I did so now I am waiting for a reply. I sent them all our proof if council tax exemption letters from the uni. We got another letter saying we have to pay within 7 days or we will be taken to court. I'm not sure what to do as I am only waiting for approval why are they taking this to court?

I am really sorry this has become an issue for you.
I first want to reassure you that is is likely an admin error that your exemption forms have not been processed yet, and as a result you are still receiving letters. If you are concerned or if this gets taken any further I recommend contacting your university and asking their advice. They may be able to provide you with further documents proving your exemption.
