Traffic warden didn't put ticket on my car

I went into town over the weekend and parked on the road where I normally park outside a row of shops. As I came out of the shops and was walking towards my car I noticed a traffic warden taking a photo of my car and then the car behind me. As I got up to her I asked if the parking rules had changed and she said they had a few weeks ago so I was parked in a restricted section when I shouldn't have been. So far enough I messed up and I'll get a fine.

But the traffic warden didn't put a ticket on my car, when I spoke to her she was taking a picture of the car parked behind me and then when I got in my car she was taking a picture of the car behind the previous one. As it was raining and I couldn't be bothered hanging around she didn't put a ticket on my car or even the two behind from what I could see.

As it was a council traffic warden I assume my fine will come in the post but can I get in trouble for driving off? The warden didn't seem to be issuing tickets there and then when I saw her.

:iiam:

Give it ~3 weeks (because of Christmas/new year) and see if anything turns up in the post).

Just worried too that if I receive the ticket in the post more than 14 days after the parking offence occurred will I automatically lose the 50% discount for paying early.

You'll be able to challenge the cost of it once if arrives if needed.

I hope so. Like I said it’s fair enough I’ll get a ticket but I don’t want to pay the full amount if it arrives late because of Christmas.

Parking enforcement officer here (We're not popular I know 😬 but it's just a job like every other one) if the enforcement officer was taking photos of all cars it could be that there is a time limit on these spaces for Example 60 minutes with a no return for 60 minutes so we go along and take pictures and log all vehicles in these places and come back an hour later and see if they are still there and if so they get issued with a ticket.

C'mon it really isn't 🥲 You're picking a job where you have to cause problems for people all day and no one is ever happy to see you.

I deliver shopping, I get to be extra helpful and people are generally always happy to see me and even tip me. Our jobs are really not alike in terms of karma.

Presuming you didn't get the late Christmas present you thought you deserved?

Thought not

Yay
