I'm in Year 11 and I struggle with revision but lately i've found serval ways to get revising.
1) Have a good night's sleep. Its vital you have a good sleep as you can be quite sleepy and not have energy to study. Getting around 7-8 hours is a pretty good start to revise.
2) Have support. Your teachers, friends, family, siblings are always there to help you, that's what they are for!
3) Reflect on yourself. Do you ever think you did negatively on a test or mock? Did you have the right materials suitable for you? If you didn't, have a look online:
English: First Rate Tutors on Youtube, Mr Salles on Youtube
Science: Cognito, freesciencelessons on youtube, GCP books
Maths: GCP, QLA (Question Level Analysis if your school does it), past papers.
4) Work. Work for around five minutes and if you are locked in to revise because you are fully dedicated, go for an extra five minutes, then you'll be happy!
5) Revsion timetable. make a timetable that you'll be satifised with - it can be hard but pair subjects like english and french for example to get a mix of things.

If you any help let me know!

Hey there! 👋

Siobhan here and this is a great question, one that loads of people will be asking 🙂

I like to set dates in my diary to keep me organised of days when I want to revise and also time frames to stick by. I do this either in my diary or on my phone calendar to keep reminders of when I need to commit time to studying.

I would find the environment you work best in, such as a bedroom, library, with music, without. Anything really to get rid of distractions and mimic what it might be like in your exam.

On top of this, there are loads of apps you can download that basically block you from going on your phone when revising for a specific amount of time. A lot of my friends used this and they found it really helped as it eliminates any temptation to scroll on social media and procrastinate.

Make sure you take breaks and have snacks/drinks! Your brain needs rest and energy so take care of yourself 🙂

Hope this helps and let me know if you have any more questions!

Make sure to remove distractions, like completely! Turn off your phone, take it to another room, whatever.

Try sitting down and tell yourself that you'll do 5 mins. Often you'll keep going after that initial time
