I have a bio psychology exam in, january. Will the content in that exam be just on lecture notes that we have done through powerpoints and what the lecturer has said. Or, will it be lecture notes plus extra research we have done ourselves on each topic. If so, how will I know what is the right amount of information that I need for my exam?

Sometimes it can be hard to know what will come up in an exam. From my own experience, I would recommend learning the main lecture content, and then asking your lecturer, perhaps with an email or in-person after a lecture, whether you will be assessed on the additional readings too. It may still be useful to become familiar with the main points from the additional readings as they often supplement the in-class content.

Hey there 😁

I totally get it. I struggled with that in my first year too 😅 For most of my exams, I found the answers in the module guides or the PowerPoints. If I couldn’t find what I needed there, I’d just go straight to my lecturers and ask about the exam material and the best way to prepare.

With these tips, I’m sure you’ll find the answers you’re looking for. It really comes down to the specific module and its leaders, so don’t hesitate to reach out!
