Laptop for biomedical science

I’m looking to buy a laptop for university. I’m going to do biomedical science. I know I need to run word, powerpoint and excel and will probably have a lot of tabs open. So I’m wondering which laptop is the best. I was gifted a MacBook for Christmas but I know MacBooks may not be the bedt for running some software.

If you have a MacBook already, use it! It should be more than enough for whatever you need to do.

Some lab software doesn't run on Macs, only Windows, but those are the kinds of things which you wouldn't have on your personal laptop anyway, most likely, and would use lab-provided ones anyway.

ImageJ (microscopy image analysis tool) works completely fine on a Mac, as do all the programs you mentioned. Python works fine on a Mac, as does almost every single other programming language.
