How to get into dental hygiene

Hi, i have GCSE maths and English grade 4 each, access to science diploma with AAB grades, and am studying dental nursing diploma level 4, with placements( 1 year course) and am really interested in dental hygiene career, I have got rejection 2 years in row, first it was because I didn’t have experience, second year was because there was more qualified student, am not sure what to do right now, should I apply for 2 years biology course to enhance my education, along with finding a dental nurse job, or should I just focus on finding job and focus on working, any tips appreciated, thank you
