Confused about A level options

Hey guys, I'm quite confused on what A level options to pick ,I'm in yr 11. I love maths A lot and so I definitely want to pick further maths and maths , but I'm not too sure on my other 2 options as I'm not sure on what I really want to be in the future . Any suggestions on what to do?

hiya, i would consider this well as a level choices do massively effect uni. For example say in year 13 you decide that you want to go on an do maths at a " good" uni such as Oxford, Cambridge etc they will not accept you if you do something like graphics, fine art or anything along those lines. As they will not choose someone that does something like that then say someone that does 4 more academic subjects. One of my friends was in your position in yr11, she had no idea what she wanted to do so she basically just chose things she enjoyed at gcse. This initially sounded like a good idea but its a big issue when it comes to universities. As she does french, biology and photography at a level, and if you want to do biology at any Russell group uni then they want you to have chemistry or another science ( i think ).

maybe try thinking about what type of career you want to do. For me starting a level i didn't know what exact job i wanted to do however i knew that that would be in the creative industry so i chose subjects that had that path in mind ( graphic design, photography and film studies ) . So say u wanted to go to a more medical type job look into sciences or maybe a tech job look into business and computer science. depending on what ur college offers.
I hope that this can help even a little bit

Thank you very much this really did help me. I am thinking of jobs towards the maths field perhaps accounting. For my other 2 options do u reckon I could pick subjects I like , let's say chemistry (my favourite science and I currently have a grade 9 in it), perhaps to keep my options open

If you want to maths at uni then some unis might prefer your 3rd subject to be another STEM A level. For accounting, I think only maths is required so it wouldn't matter what other subjects you pick. 4th A levels don't matter that much so just pick a subject you enjoy and will get a good grade in (or don't do a 4th at all).
