Different foundation degrees will be assessed in different ways, depending on the uni. Are you targeting any in particular?

Which university are you targeting? Different universities will assess their Marketing degrees in different ways.

OK. I can see no indication that University of Birmingham, Birmingham City University, or Aston University offer a Marketing foundation degree (FdA). If you know differently, then perhaps you could provide the course code, or a link to the relevant web page.

That being the case, I've opted to answer your question with respect to a standard undergraduate BA (Hons) degree.

At Birmingham City University, the Course Specification for BA (Hons) Marketing shows that in first year (level 4) 27% of the assessment is via exams, and in each of the two subsequent years (level 5 and 6) 0% of the assessment is via exams.

So the significant majority of the assessments are coursework and "in-person", by which I assume they mean presentations and the like.

As I say, this will vary from university to university, so if you're keen to avoid exams, then check how a university assesses students on their Marketing course before applying.
