sixth form entry requirement not met

Hello, my son in yr11 did not meet the entry requirement for the subject he wanted to take in his current school. The requirements are based on the predicted grades from his recent mock exams.
Does anyone know if school will consider my request ? Can I still apply for this subject with the aim to get better grades in his next mock in Feb and in GCSE?

Only the school can answer this, but yes it's likely that your son will still be allowed to take the subject if he does good in his feb mocks and actual GCSEs. I had a friend who got a grade 3 in geography in his nov mocks, but a 6 in his feb mocks and he was allowed to take a-level geog. It all depends on what the school says but I imagine he'll be fine if he puts in work/revision for his next set of mocks and his actual exams.
