How many course can you pick

Reply 1

Hi there!

When starting university, you'll pick one course, most of which last three years. The course may be four years if you have a placement year or year abroad, or some healthcare courses can be longer than three years. Most courses focus on one subject area, such as acting, computer science, or psychology (there are hundreds to pick from—these are just a few examples!). However, some courses focus on 2-3 subject areas, such as English literature & film studies, or history & American studies. You can view our full undergraduate course list here, hopefully this will help.

If you have any other questions, let us know!

Hi again,

YSJ unfortunately doesn’t offer medicine at this time, and medicine courses are not offered as a joint honours with other courses in the UK as far as I’m aware! We have many allied health courses, such as paramedic science, nursing, occupational and physiotherapy, midwifery, diagnostic radiography, and more.

It may be worth looking at societies offered by universities that provide medicine courses! You could join an animation society while studying medicine instead!😊

Hi again,

I think you're referring to our operating department practice course, which is a Postgraduate Master's course. For this, you have to have completed an undergraduate degree first in medicine or a related course. Unfortunately, this means you cannot go straight into a Master's level course.

Societies are like clubs, so they might teach you things, but this depends on the society and how is it run which might be different across universities, and not all universities will offer an animation-related society. However, you can create your own society, maybe asking animation lecturers for help.
