Accommodation recommendations

I’m considering applying to York St John, University of York, University of Hull, Liverpool hope university and Leeds Beckett university and I was wondering if anyone studying at those unis have any recommendations for accommodation. I’m currently looking at studio apartments (not really comfortable with living with a bunch of strangers) and the accommodation I’ve looked at so far range from £145 a week to £269 a week.

Hi there,

Great to hear you're applying to university, the next big step!

For York St John, we only offer studios for St John Central (SJC) which is on a 41 Week contract at £222 a week. For SJC, it is slap bang in the city centre so it is an easy walk but still a little out of the way so you're not getting the city centre noise all the time. The rooms aren't too bad either as well being a newer building (not to mention the elevators which are a blessing).

However, taking York into consideration, there are a few private providers that offer studios.

I am assuming you have already seen some of the offers for accommodation online with the research you have done already, however, I will provide you with the YSJ accommodation link if you want more details about St John Central.

If you have any more questions about accommodations or anything about York in general, do let me know. Hopefully, we can entice you to the wonderful city of York! 😉

Hi there!

It great to hear you are considering Liverpool Hope! Unfortunately we don't offer any studio accommodation but the closest would be ensuite where you only share a kitchen with up to 4 other people, who you don't always see that much. Usually this would be about £129 per week. I stayed in our ensuite my first year and wasn't particularly keen on living with strangers but I didn't really see them all that much anyways.

However, Liverpool has so much student accommodation available that I'm sure it will be relatively easy to find a studio in your budget. There are plenty of student accommodation options available in the city center.

Here is a link to our accommodation page. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions we will be more than happy to support and advise.

I hope this helps,
