Finding people to share accommodation/housing with?

Hii, I'm a student in Newcastle, I'm going to be starting a fresh course in Sept as I hate my current. I have no garuntour and I'm really struggling to get accommodation as a result most places won't take a garuntouring company or are too expensive. Someone from a society I am in suggested finding people to share a house as speaking to the landlord more often then not they'll be understanding. Thing is I have no friends and don't even know anyone who's looking for accommodation everyone is just staying on the same place they currently are or have found people to house share with. Does anyone have any recommendations for finding people to house share with? I'm getting extremely anxious as if I don't find somewhere I'll be homeless. Thanks in advance!!!

I'm currently looking for a girl tenant for a tenancy takeover for a house on Helmsley Road, Sandyford, Newcastle upon Tyne. Its a four bedroom - all girls house with 2 bathrooms, kitchen and a living room.
