English igcse edexcel lit and lang - help pls
I'm in year 10 doing Edexcel IGCSEs in literature and language, and I'm getting 6's. What do I do? I want to achieve 8's/9's, but it feels impossible for me; literature is where I struggle a lot. I've had tutoring, but it doesn't help me; I'm more of a math and science person, and I just don't know what to do! I'm also taking my English and lang and lit paper 1 at the end of this academic year, as our school is doing this modular exam system where you can take paper 1 of lit and paper 1 of lang at the end of year 10, but you can retake it next year if the grade you achieved was not the best.
Also, where can I find model answers for questions? I'm seeing mark schemes but no model answers, and it's really not helpful.

For model answers go to the pearson website and open the examiner reports. Look for ones with results plus. Theyll give answers that got low marks too just to show you what they did wrong- but therell also be ones that got full marks.
English lit is really mostly analysing. What texts are you taking? Also is it the analysing the text part that you struggle with or the poetry anthology comparison part? For essays maybe try to use things like PETAL- point, evidence, tone, audience (as in, effect on them) and language to help you structure it. Each point should include that- make a point about structure as well, and form if its poetry. Savemyexams has smth abt how to structure a grade nine response i think.
There’s a channel called Mrs Rumsey on yt which has analysis for both non fic extracts (lang) and poetry anthology (lit). I found it rly useful so maybe check that out?

Thank you! I struggle with both parts, honestly, and Im not sure what texts but we have coverd of mice and men and we'll be doing inspector calls next
