What's the difference between an Oxbridge personal statement and an Imperial ps?

Is this true what somebody told me? I was told that Imperial is more focused on industry compared to Oxbridge who were focussed on academics so they said they would prefer mentions of work experience and other practical stuff like hackathons (I'm thinking of Computer Science) rather than theoretical aspects.

Is this true or am I allowed to make my personal statement more mathematical for Oxbridge when I'm applying to both Cambridge and Imperial?
Do you realise that you only have one UCAS Personal Statement - you do not submit separate statements tailored to each Uni.

Often Oxbridge hopefuls do tailor their PS to the course they are applying for. Though this can irritate other universities, who will likely reject you.

Yes I do know I mean when do I just tailor it to Oxbridge then and hope that it's fine for Imperial or do I try and tailor it for Imperial and hope oxbridge doesn't care about it
Tailor it to imperial if you have to choose, because Oxbridge pays less attention to PS than most unis and Oxbridge tutors are perfectly aware that people are writing one PS for multiple unis. But I don’t see why you can’t mention work experience as well as mathematics.
They both want pretty much the same thing anyway dw

The supposed nuances between what they look for in the personal statement is really not a huge concern at either Oxbridge or Imperial, given that they all do admissions tests and interviews which will form the most important part of your application. Don't stress about it.
