Depression and sadness about my A level grades

I did my A levels and I got DDD then I got CDD when I retook Biology, Chemistry and Maths. Now I am doing a foundation year course which I did not want to do. My dream was to get into a Russell group University. i worked so hard in my A levels super hard!!! Only my mom knows about my real grades and the course I do. As I come from an Asian background, I can not tell my family members about my course and the grades I got because it is a long story to tell so I have to tell them I am studying a higher subject like Economics. I promise you I have worked so hard on my A levels super super super hard and this is the result I got. My dream is to go to USA but I heard USA companies look for something different in UK people so doing a course in AI and computer science will make me stand out. I really want to do a course in AI and computer science but the grades I need is A star AA or BBB. Why does the things I want to do have to be limited by my A level grades? I worked soooooooo hard during my A levels and the result I got is a foundation year course. I am crying so much whilst writing this.

Can someone please help me with advices?

❤️ ❤️ I'm so sorry this happened to you, but what will ultimately get you where you want to be is work ethic, and you recognise that you did put the work in. Sometimes **** happens, but it will all get better bit by bit - I wasn't in a UK system when I did secondary school, but am fairly sure I'd have gotten something similar - I basically had the lowest passing grades on almost every one of my subjects. But I'm getting there bit by bit, and I'm sure you will too. Take care of yourself, reward yourself and celebrate for finishing secondary school if you haven't done so - it's not nothing, even if your family might feel differently.

You worked hard but not in an efficient manner. I am convinced that most people can get great grades even if they are not Oxbridge material but they have to know how to take exams under the UK system, and unfortunately many don’t.
But university isn’t for everyone. There is nothing stopping you doing an apprenticeship or working your way up in a local company and then applying to something bigger with excellent references. It is possible. Uni might or might not give you an advantage depending on how you use the experience. So stop feeling guilty and think about what you really want and what is required to get there. A levels and uni are not lottery tickets with guaranteed fortunes to be won afterwards. There are other ways of succeeding.

You can study a masters in that subject or study a masters at a top uni.

You can study the degree of your choice at the open university.
