Can I get into russel group uni's like LSE if I did badly inGCSE's but good in alevel

I am currently in year 12, taking english lit, law and econ. I aspire to go to a uni like LSE to do my LLB (so I can pursue a career in law). However, I did not do amazingly in my GCSE'S (I got 98877766555- got 9's and 8's in subjects relevant to my course like english). Some of the uni websites say you need several 7's 8's and 9's which is slightly worrying me. I am pretty sure I have been predicted AAA or AAB for my grades so far but I know i can easily bump up my law and englush grade to an a* with time (i was only one mark off). It would be great if someone could educate me about this, tysm!

You can become a lawyer with a degree in any subject. A level grades and other sixth form factors are more important than GCSE grades. Different universities attach different weight to GCSEs. LSE and eight other competitive universities consider LNAT performance when making admission decisions.

Please rely only on what each university says on its website about its admission system. Please don't rely on contradictory assertions made on other websites. Good luck!

Your overall GCSE profile will form part of any competitive Uni's assessment - but this will be a small % compared to your A level grades and LNAT score etc. As an example - Bristol uses these weightings : GCSE 20% | A-Level 40% | LNAT 40%. Therefore, stop worrying about your GCSEs and focus instead on your A levels.
