hi, i am a year 11 student, aiming for all grade 9s. hoping to study biology, chemistry and politics/geography (still haven’t decided) at a level.

my predicted grades are
9 (maths, english lang, 3 sciences, geography, history, french)
8 (english lit)
7 (art)

i know these are good, but many of my predicted 9s are borderline (french, english physics), and i also have bad study habits like procrastination.

hopefully this will keep me accountable and help me ensure my revision is consistent 🙂

For english lit I try to memorise the quotes by writing them out consistently and then try writing out essays in timed conditions and then giving them to my teacher to mark
For french I pretty much do the same thing
Good luck!!!

today i mostly focused on art, i did some watercolour trials over a drawing i did earlier in my coursework, and also painted a photograph i took.

im a night owl so im still going to do some chemistry revision, mostly quantitative chemistry revision and using resources. possibly english language p2 q5 if i have time.

i’ve been busy recently, one of the main reasons being that we’ve given one week’s notice for our french speaking mocks 😭

anyway, i have Quizlets made with all the general conversation questions i need to know, so fortunately i just have to practice those. i’m less worried about photocard and roleplay.

aside from French, i think i’m making ok progress on all my subjects and I think I am on track to cover everything by the end of this week.

today i’m going to revise all of the disease stuff for biology, as well as just a lot of maths topics.

it’s week one of my mocks and so far they’re going pretty well.

english literature was pretty good but i’m not sure if i got up to a grade 9. im fairly confident i did better than last time though.

maths was quite difficult, but everyone found it hard and i think i did relatively well considering this.

the rest went great luckily

today i have my interview at my backup sixth form, then im going to do more maths revision. and maybe a bit of french considering i do have it tomorrow…

so.. tomorrow is my last mock exam and i feel okay.

most went quite well, the main one i’m worried for is maths.. i managed to do well on my last few assessments but i find the full gcse papers harder because there’s so much more content to know. the exams all went okay but i’m not sure if i managed to get a grade 9, because there are quite a few questions i know i got wrong
