Best way to revise

Hi I just wanted to know as I have made barely no revision resources should I just do all the exam questions/do detailed plans? This is for history and sociology and I am in year 13 at basically at a grade C/B for history and more of an A for sociology. I would also have a separate google doc for all info I have used in my essays ? But I just wanted some advice due to timing and wanting to revise smarter rather than harder.

For sociology i find it easiest to make revision cards of key concepts and key sociologists; essay plans from past questions also help alot but it’s important that if you do them, you try do it closed book so you can test your knowledge. also writing out single essays under timed conditions are also good to practice so that in the real exam you dont miss out marks due to timing.

Hi,

I'd advise focusing on efficient revision strategies to maximize your time. Given that you're aiming for a Grade C/B in History and an A in Sociology, it's important to prioritize understanding key topics rather than trying to cover everything in detail. For History, doing past exam questions and practicing detailed plans is a great way to apply your knowledge and identify gaps. In Sociology, since you're already performing well, focus on refining your essay skills and consolidating key concepts, whether that be through mindmaps or revision cards. Creating a Google Doc with all your essay info is a smart move as it keeps everything organized, but make sure you actively review and revise this information regularly. Time management is key, so allocate time for both exam practice and consolidating knowledge. Remember, quality over quantity—focus on areas where you need improvement and ensure you're practicing under timed conditions.

Best wishes,
