I'd love to know how they hand out accomodation, South College Street was my first choice, and I've been put in Sciennes (which is fine)- but it wasn't one of my three choices... how weird, haha! What were your preferences..? out of interest..
Erm my first choice was Kincaids Court, then Roberston's Close and finally Darroch court. I've seen loads of people who got into Kincaid but I still can't find any one who's in south College Street started to get a bit worried that its just me haha oh well i suppose it'll be a nice suprise when i eventually do meet my room mates
My MYED still reads that I either "haven't applied for, or rejected" an offer for accommodation. I applied the day the accommodation applications opened, and got a confirmation email, and haven't received anything since then.
Should I be worried? D:
Edit - Also, since when was Blackfriars open to students? That's the one I wanted most, but the application told me it was unavailable.
If it wasn't available to apply to initially in the accommodation application, but people are receiving offers for it now, it probably means that they're allocating people there because they've run out of places in other accom (as they have this year).

Have you check your sms mail as your accommodation offer is sent to that address. You then have 7 days to reply.
I got mine really late when I went to edin and I was a Scottish Unconditional from April! I heard at the very end of August and was allocated Blackfriars, don't panic. I did phone about now though to check they hadn't forgotten me!
Yep, been checking SMS and pretty much everything on MyEd, but still nothing. ;(
I still haven't heard anything either Getting worried now with spaces running out and it seems strange when loads of other people have heard from them. I thought they'd send all offers out at the same time.
Does anyone think that it is possible to change halls, or do you have to wait until later and say that you are unhappy where you are??
Do any halls have spare capacity, like the most expensive ones?
It's unlikely that you'd be able to change accommodation at this point - there is very little leeway until a month or so in and the first wave of Freshers drop out.
In years that are as over subscribed as this year, when the university is leasing additional property from other landlords, of course there is no accommodation remaining free. Accommodation services fill up their own accommodation first before going through the loss making excercise of sourcing alternatives.
