What A-levels should I pick?

I’m not sure what I want to do in the future which isn’t helping when it comes to picking A-levels. I know for sure that I want to do English Literature but apart from that I’m not really sure, I was originally thinking English lit, law, criminology and psychology but criminology is an applied diploma which isn’t good, law dosen’t seem like a proper subject that’s respected and psychology seems like a very niche subject also only the colleges do law and criminology not the sixth forms and feel a bit of pressure to got to sixth form as the ones around me are better schools as they have higher entry requirements and send more people to better unis but I do prefer the sound of college. I don’t really enjoy any other subjects at school but I’m open to any suggestions. For reference, in my recent mock I got: English lit-6 English lang-6 Maths-4 Chemistry-4 Biology-3 Physics-6 History-4 German-4 Drama-4 Business-L2 Distinction

Depends on what you wanna do in the future.
I know someone that did law, criminology and psyhcology and are now studying law at uni.
Applied diplomas aren't bad, but they're better in combination with A levels so perhaps you could take 1 btec diploma and 2/3 A levels.

You could also look at the courses content for different subjects and decide if it's something you like. I know this is something I wish I had done as I made a total switch from physics to psyhcology.

Ultimately I think the best thing to do for now is just work hard towards your Gcse's so you meet the entry requirements of the college you want.

Hope this helps !

A levels in Psych, Eng Lit and Law would leave so many doors open to you, and if these subjects interest you, they could be a good choice. They are all very 'respected' A level subjects. You are right that Crim is a bit of a waste of time as its not an A level. A levels like Law and Sociology will cover this subject area far more effectively.

Its also worth looking at possible degree subjects - again to identify a 'maybe this sort of subject' - and see what the required A level subjects might be - Undergraduate Courses, Degrees : Study : University of Sussex
