yr11 advice!!--> wants to achieve all 9s

hi im in yr11 right now and i want to achieve all 9s this is cuz my dream is cambridge university and i need very good grades to get there!
my grades and predicteds are as follows from yr10 mocks:
Eng Lang- 7 predicted:8
Eng Lit- 6 predicted: 7
Maths- 8 predicted: 9
Bio- 7 predicted: 8
Chem- 9 predicted: 9
Physics-8 predicted: 9
Classics- 8 predicted: 8
Geography- 8 predicted: 9
Latin- 8 predicted: 8
Music-9 predicted: 9

my yr11 mocks are in a week and i will update when those grades are out
please help me and offer some guidance!!

do past papers and see the mark scheme with every paper you do. if you get a question wrong or you miss a point which gives you mark in the mark scheme; make flashcards for those questions.

Hi @aishaniroy

If you have not already, I would reccomend making a revision timetable from now until your final exams. This will help you to ensure that you revise every subject. You could also plan when you are going to revise each topic to ensure that you cover them all. Make sure to also plan some time to relax and do the things that you enjoy.

After you complete any mocks or practice exams make sure to carefully go through it to identify the areas that you need to work on. Also, take some time to look at mark schemes to get an understanding of what you need to include in your answers.

Hi! These predicted grades are really good, and show that you're on track to get super grades in your GCSEs. I just wanted to reassure you though that you don't need all 9s to get a Cambridge offer! I got seven 9s, one 8, and a 7 in my GCSEs and have got an offer to study at Cambridge this year! So don't stress - GCSE grades are only a small part of a much bigger picture in the application process. Good luck in your exams!

Definitely do past paper questions and look at model answers. If it helps at all/ if you are interested, I got a 9 in Classics and am selling my notes on Stuvia so you can have a look at those if to see if that might help but depends on what topics you do

Hi Everyone,
My GCSEs are so close now! they start next friday 9th of may
i didnt do too bad on my mocks but heres what i got and my predicteds

eng lang: 8 predicted:8
eng lit: 7 predicted: 8
Maths: 9 predicted: 9
biology: 7 predicted: 9 (I have worked really hard to improve this one now...getting mostly 85% on past papers)
Chem: 7 predicted:9 (working on this since ive decided to do it for a level!)
Physics: 8 (1 mark off a 9) predicted: 9
classics: 7 predicted: 8
Latin: 6 predicted:7
geography: 7 predicted: 8
music: 9 (got all 9s in my coursework too!) predicted: 9

im particularly stressed about latin, classics, geography and english aswell as paper 2 for biology since im quite rusty on all the content bit im relying on bio paper 1 to carry me through for most of it. If anyone has any advice it would be much appreciated!
my main worry for these subjects is that i will spend too long thinking of a response than writing it down and will therefore not be able to finish the paper in time, ive been doing past papers to help me to stop this from happening especially in classics, geography and english but i can't seem to get quite past it.
any tips would be appreciated!!

I have quite good notes and my teacher said shes not too worried, i did a past paper for women in the ancient world recently and got 78/90. im a bit more scared for the odyssey paper though since its a lot harder for me to talk about since its so broad. if you have any tips for paper 2 id be very thankful!
