gcse revision tips

Hi, I am aiming for all 9s in my GCSE, I'm currently predicted 7s and 8s, when should I start revising and how many hours a day and some other tips on revision, please

now is a good time to start preparing for your exams. just do 3-4 hours of revision after school and you'll be good. don't stress out as you still have lots of time to prepare for GCSE. for revision make flashcards and do past papers and see the mark scheme with every paper you do.

If you start revising now then you can do it at a much slower pace and can really spend time understanding the content. Revision is always going to be different for each person. I find videos and textbooks much easier to go through. I find flashcards and mind maps to be time consuming, but I know some people find them really helpful. If you do like videos I can recommend some videos that I found helpful and if you find textbooks helpful I can recommend a few.
About 2 hours a day should be okay if you start now, and this could increase to about 3 or 4 closer to exam season.
Don't overwork yourself. You've got time.
Hope this helps!

Hi @ailiya_ syed !

It's always a good idea to start early so you have plenty of time to prepare. My advice would be to try out a few different things to see what works best for you. A few things that helped me when revising for GCSEs were:

After studying a topic in class, going over it again the same day at home

Making a revision plan

Only studying for small bursts rather than long hours

Using a lot of practice papers

In terms of how long you revise, I would say to stop when you feel tired or when you feel like information isn't sinking in anymore. It's so important to take care of yourself during this time!

I hope this helps, best of luck!! 😁
