Relationships get better and more intimate only when two people are comfortable with each other and trust each other. From your description, it seems that your partner is uncomfortable or insecure about the situation, and that's something worth addressing with care.
Start by having a open and honest conversation with her—ask her how she feels and why it bothers her. Listen without getting defensive, and try to understand her perspective. At the same time, share why hanging out with your mate is important to you. Reassure her that your relationship with her is your priority, and if there are ways to make her feel more comfortable—like setting boundaries or introducing your mate to her—suggest them.
The key is to find a solution together that respects both of your feelings."
Hope this helps and wish you the very best in your relationship.
