I need advice!!! A100 Kent and Medway Medical School interviews

Hey all,

Currently in a slight dilemma, I applied to KMMS and I haven't received an interview, nor have I received a rejection, but they've said they've already handed out all the interviews for Group A and B. I'm Group B because I have already done my A-Levels: I got AABB, but I'm resitting the Bs for other universities, to which I have contacted them about on multiple occasions and they've said that's fine and that won't affect my application. They tend not to accept resits unless under extenuating circumstances, but because I already have their minimum entry requirements of AAB, I qualify.

I'm not sure what has put weight on my application for me to not hear back maybe it's the grades but I do meet their criteria?

As I said I have AAB achieved, I also have a UCAT of 2660 Band 1 UCAT and 99999999888 at GCSE (poor mental health kind of ruined my A-Levels if anyone's wondering what happened)

The only reason why I'm slightly concerned is because Kent is the only uni I've applied to that will accept my already achieved A-Levels of AAB - I have gotten 3 interview invites from my other unis which is still beyond me, and while I am incredibly grateful, there still is that uncertainty of the offer being conditional to my resits.

Without being awfully harsh, could someone please inform me on the likelihood of an interview invite, considering they do sometimes send out a small handful of invites early January, so within the next 2-3 days ahh

Hi, I also applied to KMMS in Group B this cycle. KMMS is very heavy with "contextualising everyone", this means they will look at how you performed compared to the school you went too. ( a student with AAB at a lower performing school vs a student with A*A*A at a very high achieving school, the first student would be more likely to get the invite ). So its very dependant on where you did your studies. You meet the UCAT and Minimum Requirements, so I imagine this stage of selection is what's effecting you.

Unfortunately, the likely hood of you getting an interview with KMMS is very low, as the only other invites they will send out will be due to people dropping out of the interview and they need to fill spaces. However, you still have 3 other interviews which is much better than most applicants.
