how to shut down these crazy feelings
hey so,
i was recently accepted into my DREAM american university for which i am incredibly excited. naturally, i joined the class instagram page and started making friends and talking to people! in that process, i met this one guy who i thought was really good-looking and i just started a conversation with him and to my surprise he was so sweet and really engaged in the conversation, asking me abt my life and stuff. he leaves me on delivered sometimes which is annoying but he's actively super nice. but the truth is, it's so unsustainable. i cannot go to orientation already into this guy, that's such a bad way to start and especially given how difficult it is to make connections as a gay young person. how do you suggest i move forward?

Honestly, I'm not seeing any hard reason to get rid of him. What you're feeling is pretty normal.
Maybe don't get ahead of yourself - moderate your expectations about what will happen with him. But you can always continue to connect with other people in orientation. You haven't signed a lease with him.
