SFE are only paying me for 6 years on an 8 year course

Hi,
I started my PhD in October and reviewed my Doctoral Loan, however, I'm studying part time so my course is up to 8 years long - SFE have only funded me for 6 years. I need the full amount for my course and to support myself during my studies. Is there a way to get the additional 2 years?

When you made your application with us did you initially request the full amount of £29,390?
Or, did you request a lower amount than this?

So as it stands just now you would be getting the maximum loan over 6 years but you need it allocated over the 8 years?

Hi Drew, that’s correct - I’ve got the full amount over 6 years. I’m at the start of my course so I’m not sure if I’ll need the additional 2 years - it’s more if I need them to complete my studies, is there funding available for that? Or do I need to have 8 years worth of funding from the beginning?
