When should I apply for a Master’s?

Depending on which university you're applying for, postgraduate application deadlines are quite flexible, but there's still a process you can follow to get your application in.

Step 1: find your course

Step 2: attend an Open Day
BCU have a virtual open event on Wednesday 5 February 12-7 pm! Book your place: https://bit.ly/3VxPfaU

Step 3: prepare your documents and personal statement
You'll need your prior education certificates or predicted grades if you're still studying for your undergraduate degree, a personal statement and references. Get advice for your personal statement: https://bit.ly/49N5zdu

Step 4: Apply
For most courses, you can apply directly to the university, always check the course pages as deadlines will differ from course to course. Whatever course you’re applying for, don’t leave it until the last minute, as many popular courses will fill up ahead of time.

If you're applying for a September start at BCU, we recommend you apply by 17 July if you're an international student or 31 July if you're a UK student.

Step 5: Receive a decision Your application will be considered, and you may be invited to interview before your application is accepted or rejected.

Step 6: Apply for your VISA
If you’re an international student, now is the time to apply for your Student VISA.

Step 7: apply for funding
There are multiple ways to fund a postgraduate degree, including government loans, scholarships and external funding. Get more info on how to fund your postgraduate degree: https://bit.ly/3ZKGxat

Step 8: Welcome to BCU! If you are joining us in September then keep an eye out for information on Welcome Week!

I hope that helps simplify the postgraduate process. If you have any questions, let me know!
