So my issue is that this year I was not able to apply and get into the medical schools that I originally wanted. Because I know what I'm capable of and what I can do, I want to try this medicine applications thing one more time. In fact I have received an interview from one university and waiting on two others. My question is I'm doing the IB and our results come out on the 5th of July and I was wondering because I do not want to lose my current medical school (if I hopefully get an offer), can I give the UCAT, see my result and then I decide if I want to withdraw or accept the offer of my firm. I do not know if the offer is confirmed instantly after you get IB results or do you have like days to confirm it. My parents especially do not want me to risk this medical school If I get a bad UCAT again. For instance for the 2024 UCAT testing cycle, testing started on the 8th of July and if my IB results were announced on the 5th, could I potentially give it on the 8th without losing my offer. Thank you.
