Is architecture at uni possible for me?

I'm currently in S6 and wondering if architecture uni's would give me an offer. In S5 i took all 5 highers; maths, english, biology, chemistry and french. I got a C in bio and chem, D in french, and F in maths and english. As of now I am retaking all these subjects except french (4 highers).

I want to apply to Stracthclyde uni (BBBB), Dundee uni (BBCC), Glasgow School of Art uni (BBCC) and Robert Gordon uni (BBC/BCCC). I'm confident that I'll achieve these grades as my second shot but is it possible that the uni's above will give me an offer?

Also, I will most likely have to submit a portfolio as i do no art-based subjects and didn't do any at Nat5 (which is no issue for me).

Any help/advice will be much appreciated...

Do you do any art/creative acitivities in your free time? An architecture degree comprises around 50% design modules so you might struggle with the course if you are not creative.

Consider doing an Art & Design Doundation Diploma (FAD) at a local college next year instead of going straight to uni. The courses are looked upon favourably by unis and it will help you develop a portfolio. You'd then be able to apply to uni the following year with achieved grades.

Yes i do a lot of arts and crafts in my free time which i could use in my portfolio so am creative. I am aware of the option for doing FAD at college but prefer going straight to uni if possible.
Thanks for helping.
