Interview at UClan

So I have been shortlisted a place at the University of Central Lancashire, for social work. And have been offered an interview which I have booked. It's going to be online and will be 8 hours.

How can I prepare for this and what should I expect?

Hi @Zedd121,

It's brilliant to hear that you have been offered an interview for our BA (Hons) Social Work course. To help you best prepare for your online interview, I wanted to share some tips to help ease any pre interview nerves.

So you know what to expect, make sure to read all the interview information you will have received by email

Download all the software needed, check your IT equipment prior to the interview and make sure your internet is working.

Make sure you are in a comfortable quiet place where you are able to concentrate

Prepare answers for common interview questions and practise answering these questions with a friend or family member

Make sure to do your research on the University and your course

Have a re-read of your personal statement

Prepare some questions for the interviewer and bring along a note pad and pen to write down any important points mentioning during the interview

It's important ahead of any university interview to really understand why you want to study this course and think what inspires you. Try to relax and enjoy the interview, you will interview better this way. Remember, this is your time to show why you want to study Social Work with us.

I hope this helps and wish you all the best. 😊
Sarah
