Personally, I would reflect on my relationship and feelings towards my partner if I ever found myself flirting with other people. Healthy relationships require trust, commitment, communication, mutual respect as well as other elements.

Depends very much on what the 'flirting' entailed, but honestly if your boyfriend had sufficiently little trust in your that he went through your phone in the first place, and then actually found something incriminating, it really doesn't sound like the relationship has any future at all.
