The Student Room Group

Uni of Sheffield - City Accomodarion

I’m thinking of applying to stay in St Vincets as the photo and price seems good quality.

Does anybody know how you can visit these city accommodation to see the rooms as on the University Open days, they’re never available to go and visit?

If anybody has stayed here before or in Allen Court, I’d love to know your overall opinion of the place and living experience too!
Hi,

I have not personally stayed in these accommodations, however, I have worked for the university for a few years now and have done lots of campus and accommodation tours. Typically the campus tours do not include this accommodation building, however, the university offers campus tours most Wednesdays and I would suggest requesting city accommodation tours, as this has been done in the past, especially Allen Court.

I have done many Allen Court tours myself and stayed there in friends accommodations in the past. Allen Court is a really nice accommodation option, it is one of the most popular city options. It is one of the closest to campus, with only a 5 min walk to the middle of campus. The rooms are modern and furnished nicely, similar to other accommodation blocks. I find it is slightly more quiet than accommodation such as Endcliffe, so it depends what you are looking for.

I hope this was of some help, let me know if you have any further questions
