Japan Working Holiday or University

Hey! I've been having this dilemma for a while and I'm really unsure what to do so I thought I'd make a post to see if anyone else can give me some advice. I started university in September but have since had to take a leave of absence as I was just not enjoying it at all. I liked what I was learning and my grades were good but my heart wasn't in it at all. For as long as I can remember I have always wanted to travel to Japan and spend some time there and have recently been thinking of applying for a working holiday visa in Japan so I can spend a year or two over there and then potentially return to uni in the future. I'm just worried since this would be my third year out of uni since finishing sixth form so I would be a lot older than the other students when I return. I'm really unsure on what to do as I do want a degree at some point but I just don't know whether I should just stick it out with uni and travel afterwards or do what I really want to do for once and take that risk.
Do you actually speak Japanese - what about a Uni degree with study abroad?

I've been self studying for a few years now so I know enough to get a part time job there. I've considered doing the year abroad but tbh there isn't any degree right now I'm really passionate about 😅

If there's nothing you want to study right now then don't go to university. Think of the cost.
