Can I do biology electives?

I want to study history at university, but I really like biology as well, and it’s easily my second favourite subject.

I’m going to assume that I can’t take biology electives because they are completely different departments, but I wanted to clarify anyways.

Since I’m taking for A-level, would they let me do one or two biology modules, would I still not be allowed.

Hi,

While it depends on the specific university, many institutions offer flexibility through elective or interdisciplinary modules. Some universities also have joint or combined honours programs, or you could look into extracurricular opportunities like biology-related societies or research projects. Since you're already taking biology at A-level, that background might strengthen your case when discussing module options with academic advisors. It’s definitely worth asking the admissions team or checking the course handbook for clarity!
