Yeah trust me I don’t think mine went well. The questions weren’t too bad themselves but when you’re under pressure it’s difficult to address everything

I agree, hopefully we’ve done better than we think. Hindsight changes a lot and overthinking never helps, as long as you did the best you could in the moment x

Hi all just wanted to ask would you advise that we talk for the duration of the time given, or Isit ok to finish your answer earlier? And if you were to finish your answer earlier would you just sit and wait for the timer to finish?

I just finished my interview. I definitely improved on last years disastrous effort but its so difficult to gauge. Best of luck to everyone.

Are the questions like the typical ' why do you want to apply here' or do we have to use the STAR method in out answers

I finished one answer before the time was up and I moved on to the next question instead of sitting there waiting for the timer to finish.

This is my first time doing an Interview like this - do we have to use the STAR method in our answers? Are they behaviour related?

Definitely know why you want to apply to the CPS and the values/objectives of the CPS. I used the star method in questions 2 and 3 just to keep my thought process on track when under time pressure.

Hello,
Can anyone who has previously made it to the end of the application process explain what the following stages are after the VI? and also a rough timeline of when they reached each stage?

I am sure you can just submit before the time is up

Just finished my VI, think I dropped the ball a bit on my last question but the other two went okay. Fingers crossed for everyone in here!

The second question destroyed me. Idk why my brain really could not process what it was asking me?? Ironically I finally calmed down by my third question and answered without stumbling like a fool. These timed interviews are always the worst. You really feel like you’re sky rocketing adrenaline wise.

I applied last year and none of the questions where anything like it. Almost all three were STAR formats for me whereas last year only one was.
First question I was nervous for a rambled through it but I caught myself after than and felt next two were great.

I can really relate to this. The second question really tripped me up and I felt so rushed answering it, was speaking till the last second. I think I managed to compose myself on the third question so just hoping for the best really. Hate these timed interviews, always feel like they add unnecessary pressure. Although, they’re apparently better than in-person interviews becuse they supposedly give you time to think… the irony.

I also struggled with the second question, I didn't end up finishing making my point within the time limit. I don't feel that confident about how it went tbh 😅 I think my nerves got in the way 😕
