hi !! I'm also in y10, and I do the exact same maths, science, eng, and geography boards and stuff, and technically further maths since i do add maths but it's just further maths + additional content. maths (n further maths) has so many websites - so many that i'd just say watch yt vids like corbettmaths, save my exams, and the gcse maths tutor then do past papers/ exam-style questions from save my exams, pmt, cognito, examq, first class maths, mathsaurus n many more. as for eng lit + lang, save my exams, sparks notes, litcharts n yt videos help, but mainly flashcards n past papers. for geo there's a cgp book where there's helpful stuff on there (I can link if u want) n flashcards again, especially for case studies, and diagrams for the rivers stuff or wtv. as for science, pmt, freesciencelessons, cognito, save my exams n mygcsescience really do help, and flashcards as always, but otherwise AGAIN past papers on and one. that's really all I can give advice for, gl angel !!

There isn't one best way to revise.

Any technique, like doing past papers, needs to be followed by analysing mistakes and Traffic lighting them. Then focus on AMBER topics first.

Don't spend too long at a time then review what you've just done.

Hi there!

It's lovely to see how ambitious you are! Good luck you will smash it!

One thing that helped me a lot was revision cards. I used to make little packs of them breaking down different topics. I used this in my undergraduate degree where I scored 92%, 88% and 70% in my final year exams. its great for recall and I used to practice every day as a form of passive revision. The early you start, the better! After each week perhaps start some revision, make revision cards and go through them every day - it is what I did!

For maths: Practice, practice, practice!! I believe you are given a formula sheet (did my GCSEs in 2018 so this may have changed) and there is not much to memorize. Maths is about application and technique as opposed to memorizing facts.

For triple Science: I used mygcsescience, and khan academy who would help me break down complex processes. I then would use revision cards to ensure the information was memorize.

History: for this I used Mind maps - the topics I did was Wiemar government, queen Elizabeth the first and medicine through time. Everytime I learned something new I would add to this mindmap and this helped me visualize it a lot more.

Spanish: Interestingly enough, I used music and films. This helped me contextualize what I was learning in an actual piece of media. Revision cards also helped me memorize key words.

English lit: You are given the poems in the exams I believe, and you are asked to interpret the poem and relate it to a theme. I would not suggest memorizing every annotation however I would more practice using past exam papers and ask my teachers to mark it. it may be a good idea to write down any key interpretations that are grade 7, 8 or 9.

English language: Just practice! The text you are given can be from anything to focus on your essay writing skills.

I hope this helps and if you need me to expand on anything then please let me know!

Kind regards, Jenifer (kingston uni rep)

i would recommend checking out notes made by GCSEMastery on stuvia (a website). Search GCSEMastery in the stuvia search bar. They have notes for Edexcel combined science, AQA geography & AQA RS. The notes follow the specification exactly and explain all the concepts very nicely so that is literally all you need to memorise for the exams.
Hope this helps 🙂

for spanish use memorizer.me to learn off paragraphs for writing/speaking. i got full marks in my speaking by doing this. its really effective. it uses the same technique actors use to learn off all their lines for plays.

i do ccea. u can still use aqa, edexcel etc. resources if u just make sure ur learning things that are on ur specification. for ur subject check the ccea website for the "support" section and u might find helpful things, like factfiles for gcse & a level chemistry. u can probably find ccea textbooks at ur local library. i did for as physics and kept it for a few months by renewing it continually. youtube videos in general are good, even if its not specifically for ccea. again, just play it by the specification. if you dont know where to find the spec, its on the ccea website. for gcse i used bbc bitesize a lot as it has a ccea exam board section. u can also probably find quizlets for ccea specifically.

Hey, I did English Language and got a 9, my sole advice is to do every past paper you can get your hands on. I did every one that was available at the time, sometimes multiple times.
