Corporate Law A levels

Can anyone give advice on what a levels to take for a career in corporate law? I know it will probably be an extremely competitive career to get into so I would like to have a good base to begin with. I’m predicted pretty good GCSE results so I don’t really know which ones I should single out since law doesn’t require specific subjects. I think maths and english lit would be best… Also I’ve already applied and submitted by application to sixth forms but my subject choices can be changed later

Also I completely forgot to mention that my current options are maths, physics, chemistry, and further maths as I was originally considering a career in physics. However, the instability in the field did kind of give me an immense feeling of dread so this is why I decided to explore this option more. I am thinking of switching chemistry out for english lit but please share opinions

There are no specific A level subjects required for a Law degree - and science-heads make good Law students (its all to do with logic). You dont need Eng Lit, and it wont give you any advantage. Stick with the subjects that you will enjoy studying - this is where you are most likely to get good grades, and it leaves hundreds of other degree/career pathways still open to you if you change your mind.

Seconding McGinger! Physics, maths and further maths are great A levels, lots of fun and will be absolutely fine for a law application (though you’ll probably get lots of questions from well-meaning people about why you want to study law). What subjects do you enjoy the most at GCSE and have a further interest in?

Thank you so much for the advice, I guess I just assumed that I would need an essay based subject for law as so many people recommend that… it’s reassuring to see that it won’t give me an advantage as I was worried about that

I was pretty set on these options since physics is one of the subjects I enjoy the most currently. I was considering English lit simply because I adore it as well and was very sad to be leaving it after GCSEs ( I also get excellent grades in it as well). So recently I considered replacing chemistry with English not only to “improve” my chances of studying law but because I do love it and would’ve loved to continue studying it further. That’s not to say I don’t like chemistry- I do- but that’s what I felt aligned with my choices best
