Can you compete on 2 university teams

I want to join the cheer society and the dance society at university, both societies have competitions teams that compete nationally, am i allowed to join both competition teams or do i need to pick one to compete with and take regular classes at the other society?
This would be for the uni of southampton

Hi,
As far as I am aware there is no official limitation on the number of competative teams you can be on. Some societies can put these boundries on to ensure students can mangae the time commitments of competitions while also studying. I would recommend getting in touch with each of the societies through the links on their pages on the students' union website and asking directly.
I hope this helps

There is nothing theoretically stopping you but as matches etc are Wednesday afternoons it would be very difficult to be in two places at once especially for away fixtures. Team captains would be more likely to choose someone they can rely on to be present for all events.
