New Medic Mind tutors - how are you getting students?

New Medic Mind tutor here - I scored 3010 in the UCAT (top 5%) and recently joined Medic Mind as a UCAT/interview tutor (about a week ago.) I'm currently a medical student at a top 10 UK university and have 2 years of tutoring experience already. However, I am aware students look at tutor reviews to choose their tutors, and obviously new MM tutors don't have any reviews because they've not had any students yet. I've applied for every single job posting possible but haven't heard back from anyone. I'm also aware that most new tutors wait a few weeks before getting their first student, but it seems to be such that experienced tutors get all the students and new tutors get nothing.

Are there any Medic Mind tutors out there who can give an account of your experience or have any tips, or even just how long you had to wait until getting your first student? I'm sure Medic Mind wouldn't hire tutors if there was no demand for them, and I'm prepared to have to be very patient, but it's a little discouraging having gone through the entire tutor application and selection process only to not get any students at all.

Reduce your prices until you get some reviews.Spires is a good alternative firm. Also check early in morning and lunch times when parents more likely to post.
