are there any benefits/extra stuff for international students too?

not talking about financial support, for any uni here generally, ive seen how some unis provide in-state students with laptops etc, i dont need that but just got me wondering if anything similar is available for intl students? could be anything! like gym/lib memberships etc just curious haha

Hi there,

I am myself an International Student from De Montfort University in Leicester. I've been with DMU for 4 years already and has never experienced any difference between myself and home students. Everyone has the exact same perks (including all student discounts, railcards, library access, laptops, etc.).

Only difference is scholarships and bursaries. They are different for home students and international students. And another thing is attendance. Attendance is much more important and therefore controlled for international students, as it's a legal compliance requirement.

Let me know if you have any other questions,
Ilya
