Torn between 2 very different fields

I have been out of education for 3 years and have my alevels and for 3 years ive constantly jumped decisions on what I want to pursue, at this point im torn completely between 2.

Biology / Zoology and Art (specifically digital / 3d work)

i know the obvious answer to many would be the science route BUT hear me out

For Biology, I enjoy the subject and I think it's very interesting to learn about, however I'm not *that* interested in the jobs at the end unless it's specifically working with animals and conservation which is.. even more competitive than biology which is already an intense field to break into.

For Art, I also really enjoy it and in theory I'd probably enjoy the jobs too I think it'd be great to work in studios doing concept art or 3d environments etc theoretically however what people say about the art industry in terms of high stress, overworking and rights ethics in general worries me it'd kill my love for art.

the other factor is the fact i could possibly still pursue those art jobs without the degree but if i dont pursue zoology that door is guaranteed closed as far as i know. So basically art as a course and jobs beats biology for me but the fact i dont necessarily need the degree for art and i would for biology plays in the back of my mind, but is 4/5 years + of bio/zoology for an industry more scarce for jobs than art worth it?? I'm very torn and I feel like no matter which i apply for there'll be a voice in the back of my head doubting, i might be overthinking it

Take a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design at a local university/FE college and try out studying art full time for a year before you commit to a degree.

Most zoo and animal/conservation jobs don’t require a degree.
