Over stressed about a grade! Any help?

I have just received feedback on my model, concluding a score of 56/100, when in reality I was excepting in the regions of 70. No one else has got the feedback and it is 11 days before it was meant to be received. Reading upon said feedback, resulted in confusion. The points for improvements were areas I included heavily of, I know I’m not perfect by any means but when your aiming for a first and you get so far away from it, it really disheartens my potential. This year counts as last year did not, this year I’m far my focused and aware, receiving 80/100 on my other module gave me high determination and esteem. A group project mind you, which I was group leader for and did the majority of the world but it was evened out as a group effort. Am I being hard done by, or am I missing something. I am sorry for the rant but it’s got to me.

This model counts towards what percentage of your overall grading for your degree?

If it's like 1%, don't worry about it. If it's 25%, work like a dog to do what you can to improve it before deadline day.

It's quite possible to get a first whilst getting 56% in multiple modules. If they're all small fractions of your degree classification. As long as you get well into First territory on your most significant modules.

And if you don't get a First, it's no big deal. Most employers won't care if you got a First or a 2.1 or 2.2...
The main thing is whether you can do the job well.

You should also be looking to gain esteem by having a great social life and improving your social skills at uni.
As well as you functioning well as an adult. Handling your money well, feeding and cooking for yourself well. Making sensible life decisions on where to live and what clothes and consumer goods to buy. Having a side hustle. Etc.

Thank you for the response, this 56% was 70 percent of a single module, I have a total of around 16 modules than count towards the final grade, the other one sadly was 20 percent of another module and I got 80 percent.

Do all the modules count equally towards your degree classification? Or do some count more than others?

Each have equal value as others

In theory it equates to just over 6 percent of my final grade, it’s not finished just yet I have another project for this module but is only weighted at 30 percent. It is also a group project

How are you doing in the other 15 modules? And how do you expect to do in the other 15 modules that haven't been marked yet? EG due to them being exams in May / June.

It's not entirely clear from what you said, but has the deadline for this 56% piece of work passed? Or is there still time for you to improve it and submit it?

Do you know what average overall mark you need in order to get a First?
If it was 75%, you're now looking at averaging 76% in the other 15 modules in order to get a First.

This other assignment should boost that grade for that module so maybe looking at a low 2-1, the other module I’m currently doing is looking like the first and then the others I’m waiting to hear back from, next year will entail the other 8

The deadline has passed but have received feedback early by mistake.

I do 4 modules each semester which equates to 8 modules each year, next year will follow on with this, I have only done 4 and awaiting the grades, the first assignment was 80% on another module but only accumulated for 20 percent of the grade received within that particular module, the other part of that module is waiting to be marked.

Sorry for some text, I’m just overwhelmed, 70 is a first.

So an average of 71% in your other 15 modules will get you the First that you want.
No need to panic nor feel upset by the 56.

Do your best. Within reason. Bearing in mind that you should be pushing the boat out in your social life...

And then after you graduate, use that intellect, ambition, drive, work ethic to earn yourself loads of money and have a great life.

Remember, your previous 80/100 is a solid reflection of your capability. One unexpected grade doesn’t define your potential or diminish all the hard work and achievements you’ve already put in. It’s easy to get discouraged, but the journey isn’t always linear, and setbacks happen. When I’m feeling stressed or overwhelmed with my studies, I always turn to https://domypaper.com/ for help. They’ve been such a great resource, offering support when I need it most, and it’s made all the difference in staying focused and keeping my confidence up. Don’t let one result hold you back; you’ve got this

Thank you! I will give it a try, much appreciated
