The Student Room Group

I messed up my CGPA/GPA.

I'm an international student pursuing a diploma, and I calculated that my CGPA will be at most 8.4–8.6, or around a 3.4 GPA. It feels so messed up, like my college purposely cut my grades because of lower attendance.

In my first year, I had a terrible GPA, mostly because my lab grades were BB and BC, even though I performed well. They generalized the entire class and gave everyone similar grades. I plan to apply to Oxford, Cambridge, and Ivy League schools in the future, but I feel like I’ve already messed up the first step.

What’s worse is that people who have never even touched a computer before are getting 3.6–3.8 GPA. I feel terrible. How am I supposed to make it there if I’m already behind the fakes?
