HL maths- is it really that bad?

As someone who loves maths and wants to pursue it at university, do y'all think i would be okay doing it at IB HL and achieve a 7? (i'm quite good at maths but apparently it's really hard).

(also need a 7 in HL physics and 6 in HL chem)

what are my odds at doing well?

I got 13 9s a 9 in Further maths and an A with 92/100 in FSMQ and I found IB maths so hard like genuinely. I don’t really need it as I want to do geo at uni but IB maths HL AA is something you will definitely need to do well in TMUA or MAT because it is harder than A level maths but not as hard as further maths (which most math applicants do). Those IB highers are known to be hard so maybe start looking at which unis you want to go to and if that’s really the course you want. If your mind is set then just work hard.

Thanks, if it's not as hard as further maths A-level then I should be fine as I would have needed an A in that anyway for the course that i want to go in to

I don't think HL maths is particularly hard if you're willing to put the work in. It's difficult for sure, but if you practise practise it shouldn't be The Most Difficult Thing Ever.
I take HL chem and maths and imo chem is harder than maths. But ofc it's different for everyone; I'm better at maths than I am at chem.
