University of Bath or Royal Holloway for Business Management

Hey everyone,
I recently received my acceptances from RH ( Business and Management) and Bath (International Management with Study or Work abroad).
I am aware of the academic difference between the 2 universities, and what I prioritize is the living conditions that I will have during the 3 years.
Moreover, in conclusion to my research I have found out that the professors for my subject in Royal Holloway are not the best. As much as I priotrize the living conditions some academic strength won't do bad.
Considering RH is very close to the city center of London it appeals to me in terms of possibilities that I can do there (meet with other people, going out etc.). On the other hand, the city of Bath is fabulous too. The campus' plays a crucial role in my decision-making and it has resulted in even though I got an acceptance letter from Queen Mary I am not planning to go there. I also consider myself a social person.

I would like to ask about how the general life in the city of Bath is and is it any similar to London?
Considering both universities business schools, do you think that is there a big difference between both in terms of academic quality?
If you were in my place what other factors would you consider while choosing the university?

(I may have forgot to mention somethings but feel free to respond)
Thanks in advance!

no I did not, however I mentioned that I want to keep the scale of the business' large and don't want to restrict myself upon a single country. However, I don't think it is *really* important as it is just a major to select.

hey! I applied with 2 AP's (5,4) and I am currently taking an additional 2 more and an IELTS of 7.5. For my academic transcript it was an overall 95. However, if they give importance to it, I would say that I have really great extracurriculars both great in quality and quantity.
I would like to ask you what do you think about Bristol and the city of Bath overall?
Moreover what do you think about when comparing to London what would I miss as a student of International management? network etc.

Hi there,

Congratulations on your offers!

Bath is a beautiful historic city. While it’s smaller and quieter than London, it still has a vibrant student community and plenty of activities to enjoy. The city has a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, making it easy to feel at home.

Nightlife in Bath is not as crazy as in bigger cities like Bristol or London but there are still plenty of pubs, bars, and clubs. Bath’s Student Union organises lots of events and we have many societies and sports groups you can join to socialise too. It’s also very easy to travel to Bristol for a bigger night out, with it being only 15 minutes on the train. I also travel to Bristol often for shopping or concerts as they have more to offer for that.

In Bath there is a close-knit environment, which is ideal for focusing on studies and building strong friendships. London, on the other hand, offers a more fast-paced lifestyle. As a student of International Management, you might miss the immediate proximity to major business hubs and events that London provides. However, Bath compensates with its strong academic reputation and placement year, which often allows students to work in top global companies (many based in London or abroad). Plus, London is just 90 minutes away by train, making it easy to attend events when needed.

In terms of academic quality, as you’re aware, our School of Management is consistently ranked among the top in the UK. The International Management program is particularly strong, blending academic excellence with practical opportunities such as placements and study abroad options. Overall, the course has great student satisfaction and graduate prospects.

Ultimately, your decision should depend on your priorities, whether it’s academic quality, living conditions, or the overall experience. I’d recommend visiting Bath and the campus at some point to decide for yourself whether it’s where you’d like to be.

If you have more questions, feel free to ask 😊

Be aware that royal Holloway is really on the outskirts of London and could easily take well over an hour to travel to central London.

Yeah I know. That makes me think about how Bristol to London takes about an additional 30 minutes more and that's it.
