Kings Apply Messages

I sadly made a mistake regarding my application to Kings College and put 2026 as year of entry instead of 2025. I wrote Kings via Kings apply and they told me to add another choice with the correct date and withdraw from my first choice. I did as told but now I am freaking out because I am worried that this is going to seriously harm my chance of admission.
Also should I answer the Officer on Kings apply to be polite or would that only come across as annoying?

I cannot fathom why they would have told you to do this - its a piece of cake for any Uni to change your year-of-entry themselves online. Can I suggest that you phone UCAS and tell them that KCL told you do this?
No it wont harm your application - but it does mean you have used up one choice unnecessarily because of poor advice from KCL.
