ADVICE- resitting Alevel Biology. Was 4 marks off A

Hi there, I do OCR A biology

I’ve always been good at biology. Last year I did no exam questions, and basically just only memorised the content and understood it such that I could apply it well to questions.

I was 4 marks off a grade A.
What would be your advice to help me get an A*.

Is doing questions over and over essential ? I found that it barely helped me when I did do it.

Please any advice would be appreciated.

Hi, I'm also doing OCR A biology and my biggest downfall is paper 3 so for me it's lots and lot's of practice andx being concise. I know this isn't much help to you but maybe look at your weaker areas?

Hi!
Doing exam questions is a great idea. Knowing the content well will definitely give you a good foundation but the next step is learning how to apply this knowledge. The mark scheme can show you exactly what they want for some questions. I find that waiting until after I'm fully happy with the content before I try exam questions works best for me.
It also gives you an idea of how they ask certain things and can let you see what you're weak at.
Hope this helps!
