What Igcses are good if I want to study Animation at University?

Hey so my igcse exams are in 4 months and I've just come to the conclusion (again aha) that I won't have enough igcses? I'm doing foundation maths, english literature, english language, geography and sociology at igcse. I started my application to sixth form a few months ago and I'm just like. Should I cram for another igcse or is it just down to my grades and then what I do at sixth form? I'm hoping to do English Lang & Lit, Film studies and Graphic Design at Sixth form this year btw.

Hi!
Are the iGCSEs extra to any GCSEs, or are these the only qualifications you’re doing? Even if you’re only doing iGCSE its not an issue but one thing you might want to bear in mind is that most sixth forms require you to sit 8 GCSE’s and I believe this number also applies to iGCSE( might want to double check this). If you are getting a place in sixth form then I don’t think the number of exams you do will be an issue, unless you are applying to a really competitive uni or course as some do check gcse ( or in your case iGCSE). But nevertheless any extra qualifications will help you, especially if you’re under the recommended minimum, as long as you can still maintain your other grades and manage to cover the content of any new subjects you pick up.
At the end of the day the decision is yours and I have only given some rough guidance… (:

If you do decide to do an extra one I recommend you see if you can sit an exam for your home language( if you know it) as it might be easier to start a subject that you know stuff about than staring something from scratch especially as you only have four months.

Thank you for responding!! I'm pretty sure It's 1 Gcse and 4 igcses that I'm doing. I'm doing an art course on the side but the Sixth Form I applied to said they won't be able to accept it for A Levels. I was told a few months ago (by the sixth form) that I'd be able to get away with 4 igcses but atm I'm doing doing 5 ..I don't know if the A levels I've applied to are competitive D: Thank you for the response! My Home Language is English- Thank you
What are the entry requirements for your chosen sixth form? If it's minimum 5 subjects then you're fine.

Out of interest why are you bothering to do A Levels rather than a Level 3 Extended BTEC in something like Games, Animation and VFX?

Many sixth forms only require 5 I/GCSEs. The OP needs to check on his chosen sixth form's website.

Entry requirements are at least two Gcses with grade 5 and three Gcses with grade 4.

And I originally wanted to do Law, which is one of the reasons I picked A Levels. Also The Sixth Form I applied to doesn't do many BTEC. I have applied to a college for Graphic Design Level 3 Triple Diploma, they don't really have anything else related-

You're fine then, you don't need to add any more I/GCSEs to your repertoire.
